About Us

Since its inception in September 2001, Trolley has established itself as an innovative and exciting imprint recognised for its diverse and often daring range of photography and art books, its high quality of production and design, and most of all for its commitment to the integrity of its publications.

Recognition has come in part from the numerous prestigious awards from such Institutions as the ICP in New York, Rencontres D’Arles, Pictures of the Year International, the American Photography Awards, PDN and Photo Eye, and also from a highly positive reception by the domestic and international media.

Quotes:

“Trolley consistently marry profound content to elevated, respectful design, producing photography books that are elegant, educational, and most of all, important” PhotoEye
“(Trolley’s) instinctive, enthusiastic approach to publishing should be applauded.” Design Week
“Trolley’s output is impressive…Giannuzzi has us look at things we’d normally avert our gaze from.” James Collard, The Times magazine
“… a solid brand, producing well designed books based on in-depth documentary projects…. a strong commitment to reportage could set Trolley apart…. It's clear Giannuzzi is on a mission to nail down important historic documents that would otherwise languish in filing cabinets.” Julian Rodriguez, PDN Magazine
“If there is an annual award for the most courageous publisher then it has to go this year to Trolley.” Peter Howe, The Digital Journalist
